Work experiences covering the last 29 years as a developer and application designer. I prefer to have an all around understanding of systems. I can build applications, mostly in Java or Informatica to ease processing information. I have spent considerable time researching problems, like a down system or slow performance and making recommendations in application, JVM, database and/or server setting to bring the system back up or increase throughput.
I believe in understanding the entirety of a system, not only the application, but the environment it in which it runs and the people using it is the best approach to creating a useful and performant system.
Users
Users are the best way to understand how a process works. A good partnership with the users, testers and infrastructure experts make the best team.
